MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING REGARDING CONTINUATION OF EXISTING CONTRACT, EFFECTIVE DATE OF
SUCCESSOR CONTRACT, and
RETROACTIVE
PAY INCREASE
The University of Toledo and the University of Toledo-AAUP hereby agree that
the collective bargaining agreement effective through June 30, 2007, is
extended through and until the date of ratification of the parties’ successor
collective bargaining agreement by the University of Toledo-AAUP membership,
whereupon this agreement will terminate. The successor collective
bargaining agreement will go into effect retroactively to 12:01 a.m. on July 1,
2008, and shall continue in full force and effect until June 30, 2011.
Base Pay Increase for 2007-2008. Upon ratification of the successor collective bargaining agreement by the UT-AAUP membership, the University of Toledo shall pay each bargaining unit member a base pay increase of three percent (3%), retroactive to July 1, 2007, for 12-month faculty and August 14, 2007, for nine-month faculty. Members who did not return for the 2008-2009 academic year shall not receive the retroactive increase, except members who died or retired during the 2007-08 academic year. Members shall be paid the increase within ninety (90) days following ratification by UT-AAUP membership of the successor contract. Base pay increases for the 2008-2009 contract year shall be calculated after inclusion of the base pay increase for the 2007-2008 year, regardless of when the 2007-2008 increase is paid to the bargaining unit members.
